"Guy is a very understanding and sympathetic teacher who is as good at explaining why a technique works as he is at explaining how to execute it. His instruction has helped us shed the worst of our inefficient and counterproductive habits making cross country much easier and less forced and exhausting. Having a teacher whose native language is English has made a huge difference to our understanding of the nuances of the techniques taught. Very highly recommended."

"Just had am amazing 3 days of lessons with Guy. Cannot praise him highly enough. He showed us, with huge patience and understanding, not only how to do it, but also where to do it! Such a beautiful area
“Myself, my husband and our six year old son took lessons with Guy at Col de Joux Plane and at Le Molliet in Sixt. Guy was very informative, enthusiastic and quickly got us moving! We went from 1st timers to doing blue slopes in 5 lessons. He pays a lot of attention to our movements to ensure we learn the right way and progress well and that we are confident in our abilities. We highly recommend booking lessons with Guy, you will not regret it!!”

"Yesterday, we had a 2 hour skate lesson with Guy Beaumont. We were both already at a fairly proficient level, but were looking to tweak our technique, and to become more efficient, particularly going up hills. I can't recommend Guy highly enough, if you want to take your skating to the next level. We both felt like we'd really progressed and that we'd really learned a lot. Definitely worth every penny! Thanks again, Guy"

"Just wanted to say a big thank you for the session - it was a great introduction to this sport in which I think could even be graceful with a bit more practice! The location was lovely, and your clear explanations and pointers made this novice into a convert in quick time. Your enthusiasm is catching, I am looking forward to my next time! Best wishes V Young"

"Guy was a superb teacher who initially worked with me on my own, then gradually the rest of my family joined me and he instructed them all in the basics of cross country skiing. At the end of 4 days, we were all completely hooked and can't wait to return to do it again. Guy was incredibly patient, as none of us had ever done cross-country skiing before, despite having done Alpine skiing for many years. The technique is completely different and I can't imagine how we would have managed to master the art on our own without the gentle guidance and tips provided by Guy. He is an absolute professional who instills confidence and has a knack for quickly seeing who needs what in terms of help and explanations. He has opened up a completely new and very peaceful world to all of us which we are all keen to continue exploring. It was the best possible gift for the the start of 2020 and I am already planning my next trip. Personally, I couldn't recommend Guy highly enough and I am sure that the enjoyment and satisfaction of the lessons will make the sport so much more exciting and rewarding in the future. A massive thanks from all the Baillie family. "

"Myself and my three children (aged 11, 9 and 7) had a great lesson with Guy on the Col de Joux Plane. Guy was very helpful running through the equipment and started the lesson in a flat, sunny spot patiently running through the fundamentals and ensuring we secured some balance for the classic technique. He bought in a bit of competition between us all to inspire the children! By the end of the morning, we could start, stop and go up and down minor undulations. Guy equipped us with enough knowledge to practice in the afternoon and return on our own a few days later. I would thoroughly recommend booking a lesson with Guy."

"Guy was an excellent instructor for our first ever experience at Classic technique Nordic Skiing. Ever patient and always clear, informative and friendly we ended the lesson equipped with the essential knowledge that we could build on with practise. A great introduction to the Nordic Skiing. We will be back for more."

"As a complete beginner to skiing – not just cross country, I'd never even been on a pair of downhill skis, to a dry slope or taken part in any other winter sport -
so I was understandably apprehensive before my first session with Guy.
The first day was very basic. Guy completely worked at my pace, making sure I was confident before making small but progressive steps.
Progressing to skiing all the way to the next village, stopping for lunch and then skiing back was pretty momentous – I felt as though I'd run a half marathon, we'd
skied a total of about 8-10k! It was at this moment I was hooked.
For me, a trail/fell runner and mountain biker – the joy was to be able to be off the beaten track, in the snow. Guy, was thorough, reassuring, unpatronising, solid
and trustworthy. He came to understand my fears and reservations and considered all of those things before choosing routes and distances, whilst being prepared to push me out of my comfort
zone.
If you fancy giving cross country a try, then get an instructor. It's not walking on skis."
